GOGOL (2022)
Dans le prolongement de la série balise, 4 œuvres ont été créées spécifiquement pour les nouveaux espaces de travail de Google à Montréal. L’entièreté des images d’inspiration ont été captées dans le quartier Plateau-Mont-Royal par les employés. Après la sélection des images finales faite par l’artiste, les 4 feuilles de papier ont été créées en transformant la matière textile en pâte à papier. L’ajout de gouache et de broderie s’est fait dans un second temps, illustrant chaque “street view” de façon artisanale.
Intitulées 10^100 en référence au nombre gogol et à l’immensité que cela représente, les quatre œuvres ont été composées lentement, un peu à la manière de courtepointes, dans un rythme contredisant celui inhérent au célèbre moteur de recherche.

GOGOL (2022)
As an extension of the balise series, 4 artworks have been created specifically for Google's new workspaces in Montreal. Every inspiration image was captured in the Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood by employees. After the final selection of the images by the artist, the 4 sheets of paper were created by transforming textile material into paper pulp. The addition of gouache and embroidery was done in a second step, illustrating each “street view” in an artisanal way.
Named 10^100 in reference to the number gogol and its vastness, the four artworks were assembled slowly, somewhat like quilts, in a rhythm that contradicts that of the famous search engine.
